Chakla studio was founded by Charlotte Klaussen in Stockholm 2022 with the vision to create spaces behind the ordinary. Spaces where your personality shines through and tells us a story.
Charlotte is an interior architect with a long and varied background from retail design. She has had several roles, from store designer and co-ordinator, to leader for teams with architects.
Charlotte´s dream of Chakla studio stretches many years back though, more precisely during the early 2000´s when she studied interior design in Florence.
Charlotte recalls:
”My love for interior design and architecture grew stronger during my years in Florence, the mecca of art and architecture. It wasn´t difficult to be swept along…To be in a new country opend up my senses and I got more aware how spaces effected me.”
There and then Charlotte decided to one day open an interior design studio of her own .
Charlotte recalls:
“I remember sitting in my small spartan studio behind Il Duomo. The terracotta floor under my bare feet, the whitewashed walls and the sheer curtains. The lemontree outside of my opened window and the frangrance of brioche from the bar downstairs. The dancing sunlight over my desk corner which warmed so nicely. There and then I understood that this was something I wanted to share. To create spaces for others, for all senses. To see the big in the small. Interior design that is personal and tells us a story.”
